Whether this was Lonoke County, or Lonoke as it existed I don't know for sure. The problem I am having is that I cannot locate his father, or the parents marriage to be able to trace further.On his Social Security application it lists a "Lee Pope" as the father. The mother was a variation of "Siney Lucinda Hudson". I know thatEdker's father was killed by a mule while intoxicated when Edker was young. Apparently Siney (Sidney?) remarried. I heard one story that Edker's father ran away from home and floated down the Mississippi when he was young, not that that helps you any. I did find a sister of Edker, who was Myrtle Pope, born 3 Sep 1887 in Arkansas. She married a man by the name of Glen M. Masters, who was born 11 Nov 1894 in Arkansas.
